They All Catch Bait.
They Store Differently.
There are currently four models of The BallyHoop hoop net — Aluminum, Stealth, Flex and the latest and greatest Blade. People often ask whether they all catch live bait. They definitely do. Ballyhoo, cigar minnows, speedos, pinfish and pilchards are caught with BallyHoops every day, efficiently and effectively. Every model is the same size fully assembled (4 ft.). The real difference is how each one collapses and stores when you're not using it.

Aluminum
First up is the first model we created. It collapses in half by being pulled apart at the two unions — one curved rod slides into the other, making it simple but strong. The collapsed size is a 4-foot half-circle, or D shape, that then goes into the provided storage bag and fits easily in your center console or a large hatch.

The Stealth hoop is made of a semi-clear resin rod that's slightly harder to see in the water than the others, and it stores in a 6-foot long bag. It joins the same way the Aluminum does, but it holds its straightness when the halves aren't connected. Most anglers store this one in the gunnels, center console, rod lockers, or even the rod holders next to the T-Top.

The Flex is made of fiberglass and stores down to half its diameter in a 24-inch round bag. That's possible because it collapses into a figure 8 and then folds in half. It'll go in just about any hatch, gunnel or center console you've got.

Last but not least, the latest and greatest BallyHoop. So thin it cuts through the water like butter — the rods are no longer round on this model, they're flat and about a centimeter wide. That gives it rigidity when you're pulling on it and the flexibility to collapse into our smallest size yet, an 18-inch circle. Once you get the hang of collapsing it, this one is sure to be your go-to. It's small enough that you can travel with it in your carry-on.
